We  usually have  2-3 litters a year using our own stud dogs and bitches  occasionally we will source an out side stud to bring in new blood , but each litter is carefully planed and matched to give us the best biddable and easy to train puppy’s as possible .

All our dogs are health tested for the following

Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a rare autosomal-recessive genetic disorder that affects sensation in the extremities of dogs. This results in progressive mutilation of their pads and paws due to the absence of pain. ... Single or multiple feet can be affected, though dogs can walk without pain or lameness.

Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder causing affected dogs to suffer from a loss of muscle control following periods of extreme exercise. Typically, an affected dog begins to show symptoms between 5 months and 3 years of age, usually around the age that more intensive training begins.

Familial Nephropathy (FN) is a fatal kidney disease that occurs in English Cocker Spaniels. Affected dogs are born with an abnormal structure in the capillary walls of their kidney tubules and are unable to remove waste products from their blood through urination.

Phosphofructokinase deficiency (PFKD)

Disease

Muscle type phosphofructokinase deficiency is an inherited glycogen storage disease. It is caused by a nonsense mutation, which leads to a lack of phosphofructokinase subunits or activity. Without the PFK enzyme muscle cells and erythrocytes are not able to produce enough adequate energy for their needs. Therefore affected dogs display the following intermittent, clinical signs: weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance, poor performance, muscle cramps, anaemia, jaundice and dark-coloured urine. Dark-coloured urine, a hallmark of this disorder, usually appears after strenuous exercise or after excessive barking, panting or heat exposure and is caused by the destruction of the erythrocytes.

Progressive retinal Atrophy, progressive Rod-cone degeneration, or PRA-prcd, is a disorder in which the cells in the retina of a dog degenerate and die. PRA is the dog equivalent of retinitis pigmentosa in humans. Most  affected dogs will not show signs of vision loss until 3-5 years of age. Complete blindness can occur in older dogs. Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration is a form of PRA known to affect over 40 different breeds.
